11 Honoré and Good American Kick Off New York Fashion Week with a Party Celebrating Inclusivity in Fashion.

“There’s power in numbers,” said Emma Grede, co-founder of Good American, the Los Angeles-based, denim-driven line with jean sizes ranging from 00 to 24. She was referring to her company’s recently launched partnership with 11 Honoré and the coming together of the two brands to kick off New York Fashion Week. Her statement was illustrated beautifully by the 200 guests who gathered at the terrace rooftop of The Gramercy Park Hotel to celebrate the start of the week. It was the ideal follow up to 11 Honoré’s epic runway show last season, again bringing together celebrities, supermodels, editors and industry insiders to celebrate, honor and represent true inclusivity and diversity during what is arguably the most most visible fashion event of the season.

Friends and supporters of both brands, including Candice Huffine, Tara Lynn, Emme, Hunter McGrady, Nicolette Mason, Marquita Pring, Barbie Ferreira and DJ Zuri Marley were styled in jeans by Good American worn with tops and coats from 11 Honoré and shoes by Tamara Mellon. The night was supported by Bobbi Brown and Shopify.

“The most important thing is representation,” 11 Honoré founder Patrick Herning told the crowd. “I want to celebrate this woman by being front and center at fashion week.”

The night and the coming together of 11 Honoré and Good American also signifies the fact that there is indeed power in numbers; two like minded brands collaborating to make meaningful change in the fashion industry, who can serve even more women with clothes that empower.

“This customer is so underserved by mainstream fashion,” said Grede. “It’s important to show up where she’s shopping and partner with progressive retailers like 11 Honoré, who is forcing change within the industry.”
