11 Honoré Sets Out to Transform New York Fashion Week

Representation matters. This year, more than ever, the cultural and sartorial sea change of acceptance within the fashion industry is palpable with plus size influencers showing the fashion world that the antiquated narrative that curvy women don’t have a space in designer fashion is 100% false.

11 Honoré descended upon New York at the start of Fashion Week with the intent to illustrate how serious the company is about inclusivity. The brand is diligent about pushing designers to expand their sizing even further so that more women can enjoy wearing luxury pieces like their smaller counterparts have enjoyed for decades.

In a recent WWD article, 11 Honoré CEO and founder Patrick Herning stated, “We’re going deeper with the brands that perform well. Most of the brands will be able to produce in sizes 10 to 20, and the site is pushing them to go to size 24.” Besides working with our designers to expand sizing and forming relationships with new designers, it was only natural that we headed to fashion week.

With show schedule in hand, 11 Honoré attended nearly a dozen of designer’s shows who are carried on the site. In tow were influencers from around the country who proudly wore looks from 11 Honoré and who were true fashion muses not just to us but inspiring for the entire industry to see represented in such an important arena.

While in New York, 11 Honoré also celebrated the launch of the site’s editorial content platform, Page 11, which features stories on influential women, fashion, wellness and beauty through a stylish, size inclusive lens. There to support were Emme, Influencer and designer, Nicolette Mason, executive editor of Teen Vogue, Samhita Mukhopadhyay, and celebrity stylist, Susan Moses.

These women represented the size inclusive movement in such style and echoed the fact that all women should have a seat at the table and be an active and important part of the fashion conversation.

Some of our favorite influencers wore their personally styled designer pieces from 11 Honoré while confidently striding through the streets of New York and representing for strong and stylish women everywhere.
