IN THE NEWS New York Fashion Week's Most Exciting Moments Christian Siriano's Lively and Size-Inclusive Show Christian Siriano spring 2018 runway show during New York Fashion Week. With SNL actress Leslie Jones cheering loudly for designer Christian Siriano in the front row and the bevy of beautiful (and diverse) models walking the runway, Siriano's highly sought after show did not disappoint. As much as Jones' enthusiasm was exhilarating (Siriano happily dressed the comedian when others would not), the balanced line up of curvy models, including Candice Huffine, was certainly inspiring and refreshing to see. Ashley Graham's Smoking Hot Look at the Harper's Bazaar Icons Party Ashley Graham attends "ICONS by Carine Roitfeld" at the Plaza Hotel during New York Fashion Week. Talk about a master class in smoking hot body shaping. Model Ashley Graham turned up at the Harper's Bazaar Icons party wearing a black body con dress by Wolford, accessorized with a wide woven corset-style belt. It was sultry but classy and did every bit of service to her gorgeous shape. Prabal Gurung's Runway as a Platform for Diversity Prabal Gurung spring 2018 runway show during New York Fashion Week. Prabal Gurung has used his runway shows as a platform for his political messages and often a call to action for several seasons now. This time he thankfully kept the momentum going. With a collection inspired by Gloria Steinnem (who sat front row) Gurung sent models Ashley Graham, Candice Huffine and Andreja Pejic out to represent how the look of the runway and fashion are changing. Michael Kors' Vacation-Vibe Michael Kors spring 2018 runway show during New York Fashion Week. Aspirational and jet set are two ways to describe Michael Kors' overall aesthetic and his recent show certainly inspired a carefree island get a way. The pastel shades and tie dye prints evoked a dreamy LA sunset and languid monochrome lilac, grey and pink suits could easily go from the yacht to the boardroom with a switch of a shoe. Ashley Graham and Sabina Karlsson were included in a lineup of models like Carolyn Murphy and Kirsty Hume, showing how Kors' collection can be worn beautifully by petite beach blondes, curvy brunettes or carefree red heads.
