Q & A With Tiffany

How long have you lived in Nashville?

6 years. It definitely doesn’t feel that long!

How would you describe your personal style? Has it changed since moving from NYC to Nashville?

My personal stylist is classic with an edge. I don’t think it’s changed much since moving here. I probably don’t wear heels as much as I did when I was living in NYC.

Where in the city do you go to get inspired creatively?

Music inspires me daily, so anywhere where live music can be heard, which is pretty much anywhere in Nashville at any time.

What are your top 3 favorite things about the city?

I love the music, people and food!

Common misconception people might have about Nashville?

That it’s all country music and conservative (in every respect). There’s actually so many musicians based here that aren’t country and music to be heard that’s not just Broadway Honky Tonks (although those are great too!)

Does Nashville have a certain "look" or vibe to how people dress?

The people that actually live in Nashville generally don’t wear cowboy boots - all the tourists do, which is an easy way to tell who our visitors are. I would say it’s really a relaxed eclectic mix of styles.

Where are your favorite places to sip, see, shop and eat?

Gertie's Bar

Gertie's Bar

Gertie’s at 404 Kitchen. They have over 400 whiskeys to choose from and I just love the name. It’s also just steps from my apartment in The Gulch. I also love the L.A. Jackson at the Thompson Hotel. It’s a rooftop bar with a great view of downtown Nashville.

The Frist Museum

I love The Frist for art. There’s a great Nick Cave exhibit there at the moment. Also love the Country Music Hall of Fame. They have changing exhibits so there’s always something new to see, but, Elvis’ gold Cadillac is a favorite and mainstay. Cheekwood is also a beautiful garden to walk through. I love it at Christmastime.

For fashion, Hero and H. Audrey are amazing. For beauty and home, I hit Lemon Laine.
