From runway shows to showroom appointments, lunch meetings to designer parties, New York Fashion Week is packed with different events spread throughout the city each day. Here, we ask five of our favorite fashion bloggers to spill on the items they will be using to get them through NYFW.

A well-tailored pair of denim in a dark color will serve as the base of most of my looks for the week. A dark denim is easier to dress up than, say, a distressed or lighter wash. I always stick with silhouettes and cuts I know work and I'm comfortable in, so there isn't any last-minute dressing stressing! A basic turtleneck will keep you warm and look good under a slip dress. A polished layering piece like a blazer can be styled endless ways. There is nothing a good accessory can't fix. My go-to statement accessory? My vintage Chanel earrings I bought in Palm Beach years ago—they pair perfectly with everything! Classic Adidas are always packed because they work with anything from a skirt to trousers. It’s freezing in New York in February, so I try to make a conscious decision in a statement outerwear option because often times it isn't part of the look, it is THE look. A carry-all bag—it doesn't matter what it is or where it came from, but it has to be able to hold my mini kit (lint roller, safety pins, top stick, double-sided tape, etc.) and the everyday essentials (water, Advil, Emergen-C, backup charger, granola bar, lipstick, etc.). And I like to make sure I have a long strap bag that can be worn cross body in case I need to hold a client’s coat or bag in one hand and my coffee in the other. Red lipstick—I literally have three different shades of red in my purse at all times.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour® Fragrance Free Cream. It’s a winter must have. I use it on dry lips, nails, if my eyebrows need a lift, if my knuckles are dry—it’s everything! Travel size Megababe Rosy Pits Deodorant. It can be hot in those shows and a touch up of my non-toxic deodorant is a yes. Megababe Thigh Rescue because I hate tights and my thighs chafe even in the winter. RODIN soft stain lipstick. It’s not a scary red! Its sheer enough that you can put it on while you're walking. My Air Pods because I like them more than I like most of my friends. Phone charger because you know my phone is going to die.

I've attended fashion week for the past eight years. Within that time, I've learned there are some must have items I cannot go without. The first thing is flats. If you're going to multiple shows in one day, you will need comfortable shoes to change into. As a high heel lover, flats have saved my feet in between shows. Once I've attended my last show for the day, I whip my flats back out and head home. I prefer bendable ballet flats because they easily fit into a medium to large size purse. My second must have item is a portable charger. You spend your day taking pictures of the runway shows or celebrities you might see. The last thing I want is for my phone to die and then I have to find a place to charge it. I use a slim charger that can fit in my purse or coat pocket. My third must have for fashion week is a bright colored lipstick. I find its the simplest way to standout and, in the past, it has been a conversation starter for me.

My biggest go-to is undergarments. Thermal underwear, typically Heattech from Uniqlo, or the long-sleeved tops from the foundation line from Universal Standard. The thinner the fabric, the more you can layer without feeling too bulky since a lot of layers literally make moving quickly a problem. Fur-lined boots—loving the new ones from Dr. Martens or M.Gemi—often with thick socks and toe warmers. Lately I've been turning to wool as much as possible because it's typically warmer, though a good puffer coat is definitely my go-to for those very, very cold days. Beanies, long scarves, and two pairs of gloves as well! I double up on gloves a lot of the time (full pair and then fingerless) for extra warmth and I swear by it. Some cameras will literally lag in freezing cold weather, so it's also important to give your equipment a break. I think we get so consumed about looking good during fashion week we forget to take care of ourselves. Drink lots of water and hot tea. Don't push yourself. If you can't feel your hands, give it a break, and grab a hand warmer or duck inside.

An extra charger, I probably need two of them. Emergency lipsticks. I normally will bring 2-3 colors that are matching my outfit in my bag to make sure I can change by the shows and mood. A pair of big black glasses—they hide a multitude of sins. Hydration sprays. A good spray will refresh you when you feel tired from the long day.
