11 Ways Our Style Insiders are Staying Chic and Inspired at Home

Here’s every clothing essential, baking moment, movie marathon and workout session that’s keeping the 11 Honoré style experts chic and sane right now.

Danielle Williams Eke, Design Director

I describe my style as having a modern ease and comfort, with a little edge and a twist. I have really leaned into comfort and ease and finding ways to be comfy but cute.

The sweater is oversized and super soft and cozy. The jeans actually have a ton of stretch in them so it’s almost as if I’m wearing leggings.

This was a great look for a morning walk and coffee. It was a little chilly outside so the trench was a perfect layering piece. The tie dye sweater is that perfect hint of edge that I love!

Stay Creative

I have been able to sketch more, both for work and for personal pleasure. I’ve been watching a lot of movies and have used those movies as inspo to create little collections. My goal is to stay as creative as possible during this time. I have also been doing DVF’s Masterclass to keep the creativity flowing.

Have a Dance Party

There have been a lot of DJ’s going Live on Instagram, so my husband and I love to have little dance parties! I also really enjoy watching church on Sunday mornings. It's what I need to start another week during these crazy times.

Clean Out

It’s a great time to clean out your closet and drawers. Keep what you love. If you haven’t worn in a year, it’s probably time to let it go.

Nicole Phillips, Director of Social Media & Communications

I like to have fun with fashion. My style is eclectic, full of color and print, with a hint of boho. Above everything, I like to feel comfortable and free in my clothing.

DVF dresses are my go-to when I need to feel polished but also comfortable. The soft knit jersey is easy to move in and wear around the house without feeling overdressed.

My Camilla kaftan is probably my favorite quarantine look because it's purely effortless. Don't feel like wearing a bra? The kaftan doesn't care. I love just slipping it on and getting on with my day.

This LNA top is so soft and comfortable and looks cute with yoga pants or jeans. I can't wait to wear the Mara Hoffman skirt out on a Saturday to meet friends for brunch. These are just easy, mom-friendly, effortless pieces.

Take it Outside

We have been trying to go outside every chance we get. Whether it's for a walk around the block or spending time in our yard picking rosemary and lavender — we're just trying to get some fresh air.

Change it Up

I make sure to change out of my pajamas every day. It's really easy to go from the bed to the couch to start working, but I feel instantly a little better when I have changed my clothes. Also, a little mascara and lip balm hasn't hurt.

Look Forward

I believe wholeheartedly in investing in pieces that can be worn season after season and for various occasions. This Baacal caftan will look great over swimsuits at the beach.

Amanda Gartman, Senior Graphic Designer

I would describe my everyday style as mostly casual with a little edge, with a dash of femininity and a heaping spoonful of black.

I love the play with scale that happens with the pattern in this dress, that coupled with the asymmetrical hemline it gives it a more modern feel. To make the dress feel a little rougher around the edges, I paired it with my go-to combat boots. I can’t wait to wear this out and about post-quarantine, it’s the perfect everyday dress.

This may be the sexiest dress I have ever worn (and I don’t just throw around the term “sexy”). The rich color, the sultry fabric, the flattering cut, the high slits…. what’s not to love? I wore this to celebrate and toast our engagement. Just because we’re not able to go out to celebrate doesn’t mean I don’t want to dress up!

Bake On

While at home, I’ve been baking a lot and enjoying all of the extra time with my cat and my fiancé (side note: it feels really weird to type that word).

Celebrate in Style

I got engaged on March 12th. That’s definitely the biggest highlight since quarantining, and one of the biggest highlights of my life.

Tisha Lennon, Marketing Coordinator

I love being able to style certain pieces differently and I’m not afraid to wear a cool sneaker with any look. I love being active and comfy, but not afraid to add a little spice.

u

This is such a romantic look. I love this skirt because it is super comfortable and the print gives the perfect pop of color needed during spring. It’s versatile; I could pair it with a sweater or a bodysuit and jean jacket.

I love this piece because it’s so flowy and looks amazing on. Just because we are social distancing doesn’t mean we can’t still get dressed up.

These Beyond Yoga leggings are so comfortable for any workout. The cropped tank stays in place for any intense workout like cardio or jump circuits.

Get it Together

Being at home has given me a chance to really get myself together and focused. I started reading more and journaling. I tend to be very forgetful so I started writing everything down whether it is a thought or a task to follow up on. I’m taking this time to brush up on some good reads about best practices for my career or set some goals for myself after quarantine.

Get Playful

Yes, as cliché as it sounds, I feel like I will be coming out of the quarantine as an improved, unapologetic me. I’m going to really play around and have fun with my style. I’ll mix things up and wear them differently; pair them with different shoes or change up my hair and makeup.

Stay Active

Whether I’m on a FaceTime group workout with my girlfriends or just having fun chasing around my niece and nephew, I stay active. I was an athlete for half my life so it’s always been important to maintain that drive.
